Those who know me, know how close I have felt to Lucy. What a spectacular find! And now Ida.
Is she “The Missing Link?” I don’t know and I don’t care. She is yet another spectacular find that will open up the study into our origins to yet deeper levels.

A tail and yet… opposable thumbs… human-like teeth… wow! Go Ida!
History Channel: Last night I got to see The Link. A two hour program all about Ida. I had no idea she was so teeny! She’s about the size of a small monkey, or for those that have never been up close and personal with a monkey, perhaps a tiny bit larger than a big house cat.
She’s adorable! She also has fingernails instead of claws. awwww :) Other interesting factoids from the show: From remains of her last meal still extant in her belly she’s a veggie and likes fruit and berries too! She had broken one of her wrists, and it healed funky with extra bone growth around the break.

While I was googling around to find a nice link for the Real Eve vid, I came across someone who done the same search, but for a different reason. They seemed upset and sad that “the real eve” was all about the mitochondrian (DNA-esque) eve as apposed to the one in the bible.
They said that their disappointment was in finding yet another article/vid/body of information that served to deny and negate the precence of God.
In response to those feelings I might say this:
Did not the Creator make us?
Our image echoing Her own?
We are starlight.
What is within us is imbued with Spirit, Light: Life
We spread and multiplied from the one Original Mother.
I see no contradiction.
I look up at the sky at night and see the face of God.
What we discover under our microscopes and
in our telescopes
Only serves to confirm that a Divine Hand is always there.
Has always been there.
Take heart. The Spiritual and the Actual combine
to show us the Truth.
