Seems the media madness is a bit overdone, but I have good memories of our youths and his music intertwined. I guess, while he was alive, we could hope that he would recover from whatever was afflicting him. Now we just have memories.

Absolutely awesome memories!
From Doover’s silver glove, us all trying to master the moonwalk, waiting breathless glued to MTV for his video debuts, Lil Cousin Cady pointing out “Mitah Dassin” from a picture book….
Heck.. I remember one October, we spent the whole month in my dance class (Elvia’s in Berkeley) learning the Thriller moves step for step, so we could do an in-class performance of it (all dressed up as zombis!) on Halloween…
The list goes on :D
